Last day of year walk through our forest

On the last day of December we went for a beautiful walk through the forest next to our house. Every time I do this I ask myself why I do not do this much more often. Some people travel miles to get to a place like this, and i need to walk for about 2 minutes. Attached is one of the pictures i took during the walk:
