Valencia

In Wednesday this week i traveled to Valencia Spain for work. We are going to build our new C-max model there beginning later this year, and the preparations are beginning to heat up.
Normally when we travel to Valencia we stay at a hotel on the beach, Sidi Saler, but as so many were traveling this time, it was full.  We are limited to specific approved hotels, so the only other options were in the City, which led to us staying at the Holiday Inn, Valencia City.
Two things are good at this hotel: the location (city) and the breakfast.  Other than that, I cannot recommend this hotel.  It's a standard city business hotel, but the rooms are small, very dry, the beds are exremely uncomfortable there is no usable gym, the pool was closed (outside), and the bar is limited.  No a recommendation.  Some pics:

However, i can recommend Valencia as a spot to see. Probably due to the nice climate, at night the restaurants and cafes are full, and the food is generally very good, Mediterranean.  One evening we traveled down the coast for dinner to a little village (El Palmar).  As it is now off-season, the restaurants on the coast were empty, and our service was therefore fantastic!  In addition to fanstastic seafood, the owner of the restaurant (Pescadores) served us, and he kept bringing complementary after dinner drinks and coffees.

On the afternoon of our flight back we briefly strolled through Valencia, and relaxed in a Cafe with coffee.
BTW: there are orange trees throughout the city!
